ABARCA PROVES THAT HARD WORK PAYS OFF FOR OAK LAWN CROSS COUNTRY

Isabel Abarca didn’t start running cross country until last year as a sophomore, however, she hasn’t stopped running since then. She followed last year’s girls cross country season by running track, and then she trained during the entire summer. And now all of that running is paying off.

She is becoming one of Oak Lawn Community High School’s top varsity runners with great potential.

“She has been so dedicated to the sport and has improved exponentially,” said head coach Sue Szala. “Isabel is proof that if you work hard at something, it will pay off. Isabel will now be a top varsity runner for us this year, and we are looking forward to seeing great things from her.”
