THEATER PRESENTS ROCK OF AGES

Oak Lawn Community High School is proud to announce its fall theater production: Rock of Ages. This five-time Tony Award-nominated musical tells the story of a small-town girl, a city boy, and a rock ‘n’ roll romance on the Sunset Strip. But when the bar where rock reigns supreme is set to be demolished, it’s up to these wannabe rockers and their band of friends to save the day – and the music. Rock of Ages’ electric score features all your favorite ‘80s rock anthems and power ballads, including: “Every Rose Has It's Thorn,” “I Wanna Know What Love Is,” “Here I Go Again,” “Don't Stop Believin’,” and more!

The cast of over 50 students include Mikey Mills as Lonny Barnett, Orlando Ramirez as Drew Boley, Francesca Crosby as Sherrie Christian, Billy McNichols as Dennis Dupree, Maggie Sheehan as Anita Bath, Jayla Clark as Justice Charlier and Jet Pelaez and Luke Tesinsky splitting the role of Stacee Jaxx.

Freshman Emely Rodriguez said, “I love the adrenaline rush theater gives you and it allows you to connect more with yourself.” Sophomore Henry Evers summarized his experience in ten words: “Get there. Practice choreography. Five minute break. Leave.” Veteran crew member and senior Saeed Mulhem added, “I enjoy crew because I can spend time with friends and I enjoy building.”

Productions will take place in the Performing Arts Center on October 26, 27, and 28 at 7:00 pm. For more information and tickets click here: https://www.vancoevents.com/us/events/landing/34782
