ZAGER SAVES BEST FOR LAST AT COG HILL FOR OAK LAWN BOYS GOLF

All season long, Payton Zager has been a picture of consistency and poise for the Oak Lawn Community High School boys golf team. His nine-hole average is 47 for the season. However, on Monday, he saved his best effort for the South Suburban Conference Red meet at Cog Hill. He shot a season-low 90 for 18 holes and helped the junior varsity team take the conference championship along with top honors as an individual.

“Payton has been a solid golfer all season for the program,” head coach Shawn Neubauer said. “His calming composure on the course has helped him regroup after tough shots. Payton represents the golf program on the course by respecting his opponents and representing Oak Lawn Community High School with class. He respects the game and practices his craft when he gets the opportunity.”
