OAK LAWN’S CONROY RAISES INTENSITY FOR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

The month of September was a good one for Oak Lawn Community High School’s girls volleyball team as it amassed a record of 13-5. One of the key reasons for that mark in junior Sinead Conroy. She had 88 kills, converted nearly half of her swings for kills, helped the Spartans win the IMSA Schwartzwalder Classic, and earned All-Tournament honors at the Spartan Classic. For this and more, Conroy earned Spartan Athlete of the Month recognition.

“Sinead is our team captain and is a game changer on the court,” head coach Kathleen Miller said. “She has expanded her role on the team this year, not only in her play, but also in her leadership. She brings a competitive intensity to our team and played a key role in our success.”
