On Wednesday, November 15, 2023, starting at 4:00 p.m., Oak Lawn Community High School will host a Student Services Open House for their recently expanded and remodeled area. The Open House will showcase the changes to the Student Services Department and how the remodeled spaces will offer staff more opportunities to engage students and parents. Student Services Director Michael Sunquist will be available to highlight the enhancements of the remodeled spaces. Students and staff members will provide tours of the facility.
During the Open House, Assistant Superintendent Joseph McCurdy will share the district’s long-range facility plans. Guests will have the opportunity to view the district’s construction plans for safety/security upgrades, a fieldhouse addition, and a modernized career-technology center.
The event will conclude with the Board of Education Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony at 7:00
p.m. in the Student Services Office. Superintendent Dr. Shahe Bagdasarian is excited to extend an invitation to the community. According to Bagdasarian, the open house provides the community an opportunity to learn how OLCHS is preparing students for service-learning opportunities, postsecondary planning, career/college readiness, and addressing mental health needs. The community and guests are welcome at any time.
