It’s back. For the 17th year in a row, Oak Lawn Community High School is offering a US Baseball Academy camp for grades K through 8 during the month of March. Baseball and softball players are welcome to attend the camp. USBA camps are designed to develop skills in all facets of the game.
The camp focuses on fundamentals in hitting, defense, and pitching, and is run by the Oak Lawn baseball coaching staff and current Oak Lawn players. Matt Kocourek will be coordinating the pitching, John Buhle will run the hitting portion, and Gary Gudino leads the fielding and baserunning aspects of the camp.
The dates of the camp are March 3, 10, 17, and 24. The camp will take place on the campus of OLCHS. Sessions include six hours of instruction in one skill for $149, and players can add a second skill and save $20 or a third skill to save $60.
The camp offers a low player to coach ratio with tons of individual attention in the small-group format. Contact Oak Lawn head coach Bill Gerny at @usabaseballacademy.com with questions or to register.
