HARD WORK GETS RESULT FOR FARHAN ON HARDCOURT AT OAK LAWN

For junior Ali Farhan, this boys basketball season began way before November. It started in the offseason with relentless work, a drive to get better, and the dedication to helping improve the Oak Lawn Community High School team. And now in late December, all that preparation is paying off for him.

Farhan has become a valuable asset off the bench. He provides scoring, ball distribution, and pure hustle for the Spartans. He is becoming a difference maker.

“Ali is one of our hardest working players, and his work is beginning to show on the court,” head coach Jason Rhodes said. “He is bringing great energy off the bench, adding some zest to our halfcourt offense while playing opportunistic defense on the other end of the floor. Still improving, he has the ability to play-make from the guard position and reads the floor well—the product of diligent film study on his part.

“He asks good questions, takes good care of his body, and is heavily invested in the well-being of the team. We are proud of his development and dedication, as he has been one of our most committed players in the offseason and a good example for young players in the program to follow.”
