GUTIERREZ HAS OAK LAWN GIRLS SOCCER OFF TO HOT START THIS SEASON

Cassie Gutierrez does a little bit of everything for the Oak Lawn Community High School girls soccer team. She scores goals, passes the ball well, and controls the field as a midfielder. Leading the Spartans with two goals and an assist, she has the team rolling with a 3-1 record to open the spring season.

“Cassie has grown into a leader on the team,” head coach John Faro said. “She plays a critical role in controlling the flow of the game. She is entertaining to watch play the game as she has tremendous ball-handling skills and can create space for the perfect pass and powerful shot.

“Cassie loves the game and works hard during the season and in the offseason. We look forward to seeing what she can do this season.”
