OUAREHNI SHOWS VERSATILITY FOR OAK LAWN TENNIS

It may only be the first year on the varsity girls tennis team at Oak Lawn Community High School for Ghofran Ouarehni, but she is already showing signs that she belongs. She has successfully filled several roles for the team this year.

Ouarehni has played and won matches at number-one doubles and, most impressively, has played and won at number-one singles against a State Qualifier last week.

“This is Ghofran’s first year on varsity, and already she seems like a veteran,” head coach Dan Doyle said. “Her attitude and leadership are infectious. Her work ethic is undeniable. Above all, it is Ghofran’s mental stability and toughness that have impressed her coaches and rival coaches. Ghofran never seems to lose focus or faith in herself.”
