The weather was unseasonably warm for September, but Dylan Walsh has been even hotter for the Oak Lawn Community High School boys soccer team. Because of his solid play on the field, he was named as an OLCHS Athlete of the Month for September.
The senior led the Spartans in goal involvements with 26. He was the top assist man with 10 and was the second-highest goal-scorer, finding the back of the net 16 times. He was also named Man of the Match in impressive wins against Homewood-Flossmoor and Chicago Christian.
“Dylan’s September was scorching hot just like the weather was,” head coach Nate Joiner said. “Of special importance were his two goals and one assist against first-place Argo that were a huge part of our victory. Walsh’s field vision coupled with his speed and strength has been a constant challenge for opposing defenses.”
