Stuff You Need to Know

Attention Students: Winter Green & White Night is TONIGHT! Come check out your Boys Basketball Program in their intrasquad scrimmages, performances by our Cheer & Dance Teams, and the Students vs. Staff Game!

The Freshman play at 5 pm, JV at 5:30, and Varsity at 6:15 pm. Cheer and Dance will perform between the JV & Varsity games.

The main event is at 7 pm, with the Staff attempting to win their 11th straight game against the Students! Come cheer for (or against) Mr. Altenburg, Mr. Herbeck, Mr. Fenton, Officer Johnson, Mr. Pattison, Mr. Rhodes, Mr. Russell, and others, including Mr. Olejniczak, who is still looking for his first Students vs. Staff basket! Admission to the event is just $3.

FSCAB will be running our annual coat drive through December 13th. Please bring slightly used or new coats to room 117 to Ms. Sears or Mrs. Madsen. Thank you for your support!

Attention students: Winter Weather is upon us.  Outerwear is to be stored in your locker during the school day.  If you need to be assigned a locker or need locker help, please email: [email protected] 

[Almost all freshmen have been assigned a locker already – you can find it listed in Skyward.  If there is a zip tie on your assigned locker, please report to the Deans’ Office, room 122.] Only grey school issued locks can be used on the hallway lockers. Please contact Dean Butler ([email protected]) if you have any questions.

Ventra cards can be renewed for the 2024-25 school year and new Ventra cards can be purchased for $2.00 in the Business Office, Room 123.  If you’ve already purchased a card online from the OLCHS Webstore, please pick it up in the Business Office. Business Office hours are 7:30am – 3:30pm. Plan accordingly! You will not be excused from class to renew or purchase a card.

The iTeam Genius Bar is open from 7:45 am - 3:00 pm. Students can come to the Media Center for support.

Black Student Union - If you are looking to join a group of likeminded students who have fun connecting with one another, while learning about heritage and building community, consider joining Black Student Union. This invite is open to all students across all cultures. We meet every Thursday from 3:05PM – 4PM in room 365. See you there!

Hey Juniors! Do you want to rock the ACT test and earn high scores that can get you college acceptance letters and scholarships? Well, the work starts NOW. Starting in December, teachers will host special ACT test prep sessions that are designed to prepare you for the ACT. The sessions will be every Monday and Friday and take place during Spartan Plus. Also, there will be a surprise reward for each student who completes all the Spartan Plus courses. Students can sign up for as many sessions as they need leading up to the Spring ACT test. Athletic News

Boys Dive Team - Do you like doing flips and tricks? Do you enjoy an adrenaline rush? Do you have a gymnastics background? Then the Boys Dive Team is the sport for you! Tryouts will be held next week on Monday, Nov 25th before school at 6:00am in the Spartan Lobby. You will need to register online and bring your swimsuit and towel. No experience needed.

Boys Swim Team - Do you know how to swim? Want to compete against other schools? The Boys Swim Season starts next week Monday, Nov. 25th. Tryouts will be held right after school in the Spartan Lobby outside the Pool Door. You will need to register online and bring your swimsuit, towel, and goggles. No experience needed. Any questions about the Swim and Dive Teams, see Coach Maciaga in Room 280.
