Stuff You Need to Know

Students… We’re going to the Dominican Republic in Spring 2026, and you’re invited!
We’re excited to tell you more about the trip we’re planning with EF Tours, our educational travel partner. There is a meeting on December 10th at 7:00pm in the Performing Arts Center where you will receive all the necessary information. Attention students: Winter Weather is upon us.  Outerwear is to be stored in your locker during the school day.  If you need to be assigned a locker or need locker help, please email: [email protected] 

[Almost all freshmen have been assigned a locker already – you can find it listed in Skyward.  If there is a zip tie on your assigned locker, please report to the Deans’ Office, room 122.] Only grey school issued locks can be used on the hallway lockers. Please contact Dean Butler ([email protected]) if you have any questions.

Ventra cards can be renewed for the 2024-25 school year and new Ventra cards can be purchased for $2.00 in the Business Office, Room 123.  If you’ve already purchased a card online from the OLCHS Webstore, please pick it up in the Business Office. Business Office hours are 7:30am – 3:30pm. Plan accordingly! You will not be excused from class to renew or purchase a card.

The iTeam Genius Bar is open from 7:45 am - 3:00 pm. Students can come to the Media Center for support.

Seniors – need help creating your FSA ID?  Have questions about financial aid?  A representative from the IL Student Assistance Commission will be available to meet with you on Monday during Spartan Plus.  Sign up in arena scheduling by filtering Student Services, then Kenny.

Hey Juniors! Do you want to rock the ACT test and earn high scores that can get you college acceptance letters and scholarships? Well, the work starts NOW. Starting in December, teachers will host special ACT test prep sessions that are designed to prepare you for the ACT. The sessions will be every Monday and Friday and take place during Spartan Plus. Also, there will be a surprise reward for each student who completes all the Spartan Plus courses. Students can sign up for as many sessions as they need leading up to the Spring ACT test.
