When sophomore Suriyah McGowan made the competitive cheerleading team for the first time this year, it was her tumbling skills and positive attitude that stood out. Now she is becoming much more by showing versatility, tenacity, and a willingness to learn.
“She is a dedicated, hard worker and is willing to fill in wherever she is needed,” head coach Maria Vanderwarren. “She has learned many stunting positions and is determined to do her best at each one. Her tumbling skills are elite, and she is committed to achieve more elite tumbling in the upcoming years. We are fortunate to have such a positive athlete as part of our program and look forward to the years ahead with her.”
