The esports team took home two accolades this Saturday at the Evergreen Park esports invitational. Rocco Santoro took home a first-place trophy in the Madden event, going undefeated repping Mr. Russel's favorite Washington Commanders. The super smash bros team took 2nd place, led by Jayden Diaz, Romeo Holland, Armando Velazquez, Noah Hughes, Kelvin Stewart, and Jason Molenaar.
There are still spots open on the esports team in Rocket League and Mario Kart. Reach out to Coach Murray if you are interested.
Paint the Gym Purple T-shirts will be on sale beginning through TOMORROW Tuesday January 28th during all lunches. Shirts are $10 each. Cash, check and Omella (similar to Zelle/Venmo) are all accepted. Proceeds from the shirt sales fund the Spartan Survivor Scholarship which is awarded to seniors who have been affected by cancer. Thank you in advance for supporting this initiative. Wear your shirt TOMORROW when we paint the gym purple!
Spanish Honor Society will be selling Mexican pastry tomorrow, Tuesday morning in the student cafeteria and chicharrónes during all lunch periods.

Ventra cards can be renewed for the 2024-25 school year and new Ventra cards can be purchased for $2.00 in the Business Office, Room 123. If you’ve already purchased a card online from the OLCHS Webstore, please pick it up in the Business Office. Business Office hours are 7:30am – 3:30pm. Plan accordingly! You will not be excused from class to renew or purchase a card.

Club/Team News
Graphic Design Club - Graphic Design Club will meet on Wednesday, February 5th from 3-4pm in room 146. All are welcome! See Mrs. Hartmann in room 146 for more information.
MSA - MSA will be collecting food items for the first annual “Ramadan Food Drive” that will run through February 21st. Flour, sugar, semolina, vegetable oil, and cereal are some items appreciated as well as grocery store gift cards. Carts will be out in the media center hallway for collection. All proceeds will go to the Mosque Foundation Food Pantry.

An Admissions representative from Grand Valley State University will be visiting OLCHS this Wednesday during 2nd period. Interested students should sign up in Schoolinks to get a pass to attend this visit.
Attention Juniors - Teachers are hosting special test prep sessions that are designed to prepare you for the ACT. The sessions will be every Monday and Friday and take place during Spartan Plus.
