In his junior year at Oak Lawn Community High School, guard Jack Dempsey took major strides on an off the court for the Spartans. He became a leader on the floor, he stepped up his defensive toughness, and he provided stability to a strong team.
He averaged 13 points per game with an effective shooting percentage of 57-percent from the floor. He was 60-percent on two-point field goals and 37-percent from three. He averaged five rebounds a game and tied for the team lead in charges taken with 12. As a result, he earned all-conference honors in the South Suburban Conference Red for the second time.
“Jack has an advanced feel for the game and meaningfully contributes to our team in every tangible and intangible way on both ends of the floor,” head coach Jason Rhodes said. “He provides out team with stability, consistency, and emerging leadership and toughness. Congratulations to Jack on a heck of a junior year.”
