DESPITE INJURY, ANDERSON SETS EXAMPLE FOR OAK LAWN GIRLS WRESTLING

Although sophomore Grace Anderson suffered a season-ending injury, she still found a way to contribute to a successful inaugural girls wrestling season at Oak Lawn Community High School. She worked with teammates, helped coaches, and set an example for others to follow.

“Grace contributed to this year’s season in so many ways,” head coach Matt Arthur said. “She was always ready to help in anyway necessary: filming matches, helping the coaches with whatever we asked of her, or working with the other athletes on the team.

“With her continued hard work and by studying the sport, Grace will build upon her successful first year and have a great varsity career. Even though her season was cut short due to injury, she has developed as a leader and is a great example for the other younger wrestlers to follow.”
