Graphic k 12 by eliorOLCHS District 229 participates in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program which provides nutritionally balanced meals to all students The NSLP is managed at the federal level by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and at the state level by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). K-12 by Elior is the school’s food service management company that is committed to providing healthy food options that meet or exceed the standards required by these federal programs.   

Under the National School Lunch Program, students may be eligible to receive free or reduced-price meals. OLCHS will notify parents if their student(s) have been directly certified by the state to receive free or reduced mealsAll others may submit a Household Eligibility Application online in Skyward under the Food Service tab or the application below can be printed out and submitted to the OLCHS Business Office, Room 123, 9400 Southwest Highway, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Paper applications are also available in the Business Office, Room 123. Students must qualify for meal benefits each school year.

To put money on your Food Service account, select Skyward Food & Fees from the OLCHS Webstore on the main page of the website. You will be redirected to Revtrak, where you'll be able to login or create an account. Auto-Replenish is now available for Food Service payments!  Please see the pdf below for instructions.  Reminder to seniors, please plan accordingly and have any recurring Food Service payments stopped prior to graduation.  
Summer Meals
Oak Lawn Community High School District 229 is participating in the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) of the National School Lunch Program for the 2023-2024 school year. Breakfast and lunch will be served free of charge in the OLCHS cafeteria for all children 18yrs and younger.   Breakfast will be served from 7:30am-8:00am and lunch from10:35am-10:50am.  Meals will be offered Monday thru Thursday from June 7th – June 28th and July 10th - July 27th. 
SUN Bucks / Summer EBT
SUN Bucks LogoThe U.S. Department of Agriculture authorized a new permanent nutrition program called Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer, or Summer EBT. This program is referred to as SUN Bucks. SUN Bucks 2024 will provide a $120 annual benefit to eligible children. To be eligible for SUN Bucks, a child must be identified as directly certified due to participation in SNAP, TANF, income-eligible Medicaid (185% of the federal poverty guideline), or those that are foster, homeless, migrant or income eligible by an application. The benefits will be distributed to the household by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) later this summer.
